My girl dumped me and now she is jealous?

OK so long story short, me and my girl I'm 27 and she is 23 met at college and have been best friends for 3years and then we ended up together, we had a good 8month relationship no real fights and lots of adventures. The 6weeks ago she asked me for a break I don't really get breaks so I said either we were together or we were not, so she dumped me. She kept contacting me for 2weeks after until I was honest and said I could not be just mere friends and I saw her as more, she got mad said I was being selfish etc.

I made all the classic mistakes begging her to come back and drunken texts and then I stopped and we had no contact I told her that tried my best and that I could not do anymore she said I had not tried at all ! So we had no contact I visited my ex girl from years ago whom is just a friend now for a weekend and my current ex must have saw this on facebook and thought I'd gone back with this girl which I didn't.

My female friends advised me to send her a love letter to get her back and some gifts so I did, my ex reaction was one of shock and she contacted me saying she was overwhelmed with the gifts but her and her friends know I was with my ex, of course I tried to make her see sense but to no avail now what ?She dumped me why is she jealous ?

First things first. You weren't being selfish, she was. She wanted to be friends with you to ease off of you slowly so the break up would be less painful for her. Second, it doesn't matter what you do anymore because you two are broken up. She thought that she could string you along and that you would just sit and wait for her while she got a "break" from you and went to have fun with other guys with no limits. This is why you can't be "friends" after a break up when someone still has feelings. The bottom line is that she is playing games and you shouldn't talk to her anymore. You did nothing wrong but you tried to patch things up like you were the blame for everything. Both girls are you EX, so you can do what you want and when you want without having to answer to anyone. She is jealous because she wants all your attention even though you weren't together anymore. Don't try to make sense of this girl and just leave her alone. Start dating other girls and don't regret anything. If she really wanted you she wouldn't have asked for a "break" (which really means break up with you slowly) and would have stayed with you without thinking anything negative. Your female friends told you to do the wrong thing. You practically begged her for forgiveness when you did nothing wrong in the first place. Move on, move forward, let her rebuild the bridge she burned and let her chase after you for a change.

I would love to help you but I'm lost on one particular thing: she dumps you...you tried getting back with her...she STILL says no then you send her 'gifts'...and her reaction is that she is 'overwhelmed'?!?! Why would she be overwhelmed? Better yet, why are you sending that girl ANYTHING if she doesn't want to be with you? That makes no sense to me buddy.

Other than that, she wants you to want her. She doesn't want you to mingle with any other girls. Even if you did go back with your other ex..thats none of her business because that is a choice you made with YOUR life. She wants to have her cake and eat it too dude. She is jealous because she still cares about you. But she is so lost and confused in the head that she is going back and forth with you. One minute she doesn't want to be with you but yet she has the nerve to complain if you hang out with your ex...like that makes ANY sense. Take care buddy!

I get where your coming from its confusing even trying to write it !!! Ya see the night we broke up I got the feeling she was not 100% sure but I respected her wishes and did not try change her mind, she texted at 4am saying ' I hope you know I love you' I was like WTF ! So she kept contacting me and eventually I said I could'nt keep in contact if she had given up on us, and she said I had not tried too hard to win her back so that is when I decided to send the gifts few weeks later !
