Is this a good gift for my boyfriend?

A little back story. My boyfriend and I are absolutely obsessed with Lord of the Rings. You may think you are, but honey, I have 73 LOTR soundtracks on my laptop 😂 Anyway, I was thinking about giving him the Evenstar pendant for a gift. Not just GIVE it to him, but show up wearing it, he then mentions how cool it is, then I take it off and give it to him whilst saying "It is mine to give to whom I will, like my heart." Just like in the movie where Arwen gives Aragorn the Evenstar. (Yes were cheesy like that. Don't judge 😂)

Anyway, I'm just a little afraid it's a little feminine looking. I know Aragorn rocked it, but everyone knew the symbolism. Just in daily life though, I'm not sure how it will be viewed if people don't know the movie well enough to understand- thus thinking he's wearing women's jewelry. What do y'all think?

Hey so I got a notification about this post so I figured I'd update it.

So I tried to give it to him, and he rejected it. A few months later, he told me he never loved me, he never even liked me and we broke up.

So I'm gonna save it for a man who deserves my eternal life

It does kinda look like women's jewelry, but who cares? It's a really cool gift, coming from someone who's also pretty familiar with the movies (they were my fuckin' jam as a kid, and I still enjoy them now). As long as he wears it with the right outfit (something nice but kinda casual, like maybe a fleece jean jacket over a black graphic tee and with dark jeans or khakis).

I think the pendant is a great idea, but I can't figure out that scene. Did they say, "lets go stand in the middle of the bridge and have a talk", or did they just happen to run into each other in the middle of the bridge and decide to have a talk?

I think you should give him. He sure loves it and keep it as a part of his collection of movie. No matter what he receive I am sure he is happy.

I don't see why not. Just don't get offended if he doesn't want to wear it. Gifts like that are given for the sole purpose that you thought about it.
