Is this an okay gift for my guy friend?

I noticed that he can’t afford some good quality sun glasses. I can. Should I get him a really good brand, that looks identical to his current ones, only a lot better?

The reason I buy crap sunglasses are 1. they are cheap 2. I don't care if lose them or they break.

It may not be that he cannot afford but simply he doesn't put much importance on them. I'm sure he will appreciate the gift
