Are girls supposed to give guys things for Valentine's day?

Do guys expect to receive gifts from their girlfriends or is it more a day for guys to get things for their girl friends?

well either way, I want to get something for my boyfriend but I'm not exactly sure what to give to him...any ideas?

I always get my boyfriend something. Fair is fair! Last year a got him some of his favorite candy, a movie he wanted, and a new box of condoms! Nothing overly expensive, but it's the thought that counts I think :)

If he's giving you a gift then you should get him one,but if you both agree about not getting gifts for one another then that's fine.

Give him something that interests him and let him know you appreciate him

They're not supposed to but it would be nice if they did. I would expect a gift but spending time with the woman I love is the best gift.

Well since your a guys can I ask you this? Do guys really feel that spending time with the girl is good enough? Its not all just talk?

I can't speak on behalf of all guys but I'm desperate to have the girlfriend that I want and if I had her on Valentine's day that would be awesome. I guess that a guy that can easily get girls would like something more than just being with the woman he loves.

It's not meant to be a one sided holiday but neither should expect gifts. Get him something related to what he likes. Hell do a gift card. Take him out to dinner. I'm sure he won't care what you give him if he loves you enough.
