Big time. The first polymer handgun was not Glock. It was H&K. They have the most horrible trigger ever put on a handgun, an incredibly fucked up grip angle, no front slide serrations and plastic sights. For the same money you can get an H&K VP9 or Walther PPQ with none of those problems and superior ergonomics. Glock was a much simpler pistol that through simplicity made them more reliable than others of the day but they weren’t perfect and their shortcomings have still not been addressed. Others have caught up and surpassed them. People that buy Glocks are “me too” followers that never even bother looking at anything else. Big mistake

"Overrated" could be in the eye of the beholder. Since they were the first major company to make a pistol in 40 S&W, and then dominated the U. S. law enforcement market, that definitely catapulted them into the spotlight that they're in in the U. S. But major reasons why law enforcement agencies and militaries across the globe choose Glocks is because they're rugged, reliable, low-maintenance and affordable.

I don’t know, they’re pretty effective for their intended purpose. They’re kinda the Honda Civic of handguns - simple, reliable and boring
Im not a fan of glocks. If im going the pistol route I'd rather have a Ruger Redhawk or a Colt 1911.
Not if there's a zombie apocalypse
