Dumbness vs. Income. Higher-income Porsche owners are less dumb. People who borrow money to buy Porsches are maximally dumb. From my standpoint, I make about as much in a year as a luxury high-end Porsche costs. I am not wealthy enough to buy a Porsche being a married man. Maybe when I was a bachelor, I could afford a high-end one, but not now given that I'm married and have a family to provide.

From my standpoint, if you want to comfortably and safely afford a high-end Porsche that costs $150k+, you should make at least the minimum of $300k+/year.

A Porsche can be as cheap as $50k to my knowledge. Actually I was just winging it but I think that's a decent rule of thumb that I came across (with plenty of exceptions, like any rule of thumb). Your car shouldn't' cost more than half as much as your annual earnings.

So if someone makes $50k/year, they should seek a car that's $25k or less to purchase. I actually think that's a decent guideline... or course with deviations. But it might be a decent starting rule. Don't pay more than half your annual salary on a car.

I mean Porsche range in prices. They range from about $50k to over $150k, just like how Lambos range from ~$200k to over $10 million.

Depends on which one. You can pick up a used Boxster for 20 grand, almost anyone could buy one if they were so inclined
Brand new high end models are pretty much reserved for the filthy rich

I make close to half a million per year and “can’t” afford one. I have a family of four and paying private schools for my kids. So I’d say it’s relative. I know people living in places like Phoenix that make half what I make and own a Porsche.
