You be correct. Winchester just made too good of a rifle. Now they are worth some money. I got 30/30. I almost bought a.356 . Only 1000 ever made. Should have bought the.356 . He only wanted $300.

He also had an Elephant gun. I wanted that one but he wouldn't sell it. You ever see an elephant gun? He also had a John Wayne ( ) Lever , shorter barrel Winchester , it shot.22 L I think. He would not sell that one. He had revolutionary rifles /muskets. Most were remakes , maybe a few originals. He had a whole room full of those. He dies and widow sells them all for like $8000 to $10,000 to a gun shop owner. The guy got a steal.

for what? The elephant gun didn't look like metal and shot 60 cal steel balls , two shells. Supposed to stop a raging charging Bull Elephant.

meant the.356. Do they even make that anymore? If they do they will cost you much more than a 30-30. A box of 20 .460 Weatherby magnums cost $155. Expensive shooting.
