Does anyone else never really know what they want?

Does anyone else never really know what they want for their birthday, for Christmas, anniversaries, or other significant occasions?

When my birthday or Christmas roll around, my wife will ask me what want. Most of the time though, I can never really think of anything. All that usually comes to mind are things that I can easily buy on my own, either that or something practical that I legitimately need.

Usually, I'm just happy to spend the day with my family and have a delicious dinner.

Is anyone else like this? Are you hard to shop for?

For the most part, i have everything materialistic that i want (outside of dream home/car), so i’d be fine just getting pinned with money as a gift. I can use that money towards something else

I always know what I want. I want to make it easy for my honey when he wishes to get me something.
I’ll tell him 2-3 things … he just surprises me with one. I wish he can make it easy for me as well… he often says he doesn’t need anything. Then he buys it himself. Takes the joy away.

I buy my own gifts sadly since my mother never goes out. So I stock pile everything from Jan to December (which is also during Christmas) and I have a lot of stuff to open for Christmas since I am not with anyone, or have any family (or friends)
