There was a topical pain reliever that was natural and odorless and worked really, really well. Bump something, add a dab, and you wouldn’t even get a swelling. Used to get it at my chiropractor's office. Now can’t find it anywhere. Such a loss.

Boxers. I know they have to have them, but it’s tough finding them unless maybe I look online. Every store in the area seems to favor briefs.
Surge. Burger King took it out of all the local Freestyle machines I’m aware of (yet they all advertise that they still carry it), and most of the fast food places (and other restaurants) don’t offer it. I looked online, it said that it’s on its way off shelves, and will be increasingly hard to get (I don’t recall seeing it in stores since it was discontinued the first time). Most people don’t even seem to know what I’m talking about when I mention Surge (Except for one friend who also really loves it).
Boxers are hard to find and made properly. The ones on amazon are questionable and returned. My family has had the same problems. Best time to find them is when they have going back to school sales and put up special displays in stores.
Not had surge, but vaguely remember seeing or hearing about it.
Always so clever man 👏👏👏
Agreed.
GrassyAss.
Manual transmission cars, I learned to drive stick shifts on the farm, old vehicles then when I go to buy my own, I'm told they don't make those anymore. Like really? I can shift way better than an automatic transmission can.
Ever try flooring a automatic? it has to sit there and think for a second or two, about should it downshift or up shift and then suddenly it downshifts and RPMs are like in the red, like WTF... if I had been able to stick it in the right gear that would not of happened.
Yes!! They did this with my truck. They don’t sell the manuals in my state as “they don’t sell well”. Wth? I’m with you on this. lol
I was told they did away with them to meet standards for better mileage and that automatics get better mileage. That I could custom order a brand new vehicle (I don't buy new) that comes that way but it would be an extra 5 to 10 grand.
Guess if your rich you can still get one.
Figures. At least it’s possible. lol
@Aerissa_Jade You can drive a 9-speed automatic as if it was a manual. You still have control over the shifting. You just don't have to use a clutch; that's the difference.
@Jamie05rhs I like the clutch, not pushing a button on a lever, I forget to shift that way. It also seems to lurk or jump when I downshift, like it needs to go more slowly into it like a clutch would rather than a sudden jerk that when towing a trailer can cause the trailer to jump and lose control.
@Aerissa_Jade Yeah, I know what you're saying. I agree with you on the downshifting. It's hard to get it just right.
Although, the one I drive currently actually downshifts automatically, so you don't really have to.
@aerissa_jade Have you ever ridden a DCT bike? First to second (and sometimes third) automatic shift usually lurches to varying degrees in those too. Especially keeping throttle low.
@dustybiker No, always had a clutch on my motorcycles. I'm thinking my ATV as that though, so I know what your talking about.
Muscle cars and SUV's.. not these POS compact cars that all look the same. Soon the Jetson's phenomenon will come true.
Yes, when they all had their own style.

I'd SAY Ecto Cooler, but a guy I know actually cracked the recipe, so I can make that whenever I want. So I'll say Altoids that don't suck. Apparently, the recipe was the same for like two hundred years, but then they changed it somehow, dumping in a ton more sugar and making them taste chemical and unpleasant. It's a shame; not only do I miss the prior flavor, but those boxes were the PERFECT size for storing firecrackers.
They took the sugar out and replaced it with sorbitol. I noticed because I react to the latter. Big loss, I agree. They should have left an original recipe and called it that.
Normal, beefsteak tomatoes with seeds inside that don't have to be organic. I used to adore tomatoes. Nowadays, tomatoes are smooth and disgusting inside with lots of unidentifiable white, fibrous material taking up their central core. I don't know WHAT these mad scientists are cross-breeding today's tomatoes with, but, they've rendered them inedible.
I did have some beefsteak tomatoes that were grown at a small family owned farm, that were really tasty. But yeah it seems that most store bought tomatoes are not that flavorful anymore.
@ArrowheadSW Most regular produce sold in the U. S. has been genetically modified. A lot of these tomatoes have lost their flavor. They either look like a science experiment gone wrong on the inside or pristine but, both hydroponic and regular tomatoes have a very bland, watered-down taste.
It is true. The flavor is only in some of the smaller varieties now.
@gigi2019 @dustybiker I just saw some Beefsteak Tomatoes in the grocery store this evening! I bought one. It was "OK" but not as flavorful as I'd like.
@gigi2019. If you grow your own. Look for heirloom or heritage tomato seeds. They are supposed to be from the old school plants before scientists got involved.
Also you can plant the seeds from the tomatoes and they will actually grow a like tomato. Unlike the GMO’s where you have no idea of what will grow from them.
Was it because of the attacks on 9/11? My uncle says life was way better before then :( Maybe the terrorists also killed great tomatoes?
Big large cars of the 1930s-1960s
Rotary telephones
Counsel television sets. The TV's that were in big wooded cabnets
Old time radio dramas and comedies
This one would be my main wish to come back
Here is a YouTube video of George Burns. Remember its just audio only
His cigar bit in the beginning is real funny. I hope you'll give it a chance
Love those old radio shows. I listen to them every week. My favourites are Johnny Dollar, The Sealed Book, and The Shadow.
"Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows! MWAHAHAHAHAA"
I had the opportunity to drive a 1968 Pontiac Bonneville a couple of years ago. Even though it was a big car it did not ride very good and did not handle well. The hard plastic steering wheel was tough to deal with too. I think the old cars are awesome too but I would not want to give up my new truck for one of them. I have a rotary phone hooked up in my garage. The dial is kind of a pain in the butt.
@humanearth You can’t miss those bulky tv’s? That is one modern thing I do really like. Flat screen and detail.
@dustybiker I do! Those TVs were pieces of art. I remember the one my grandparents had. It was made of beautiful mahogany wood. Modern TVs and most modern stuff actually is so ugly. Modern architecture is ugly, modern furniture is ugly, modern clothing styles are ugly, and so on.
@exitseven i hear you, but I hate how new cars drive and feel on the road. specially todays trucks. They drive like a cars.
Like the old trucks always bounced when empty, beside old trucks were a lot stronger and tougher.
@Wraith_Cemetery I listen to them almost daily, I have some on records, some on tapes and lots on reel to reel tapes
@dustybiker I still have a my 1975 RCA Counsel Television. I restored the wood cabnet myself and replaced the picture tube just a few years ago.
I agree them old TV's are works of art
There I think I answered everyone
@humanearth @Wraith_Cemetery
My spring cleaning gear is in warm-up. I’m thinking of decluttering not refurbishing. Apologies to both of you. 🙃
Can't find an A&W restaurnt around my hometown. That root beer in the can is not he same thing as the draft root beer in a frosty mug.
Lum's hot dogs steamed in beer were pretty damned good and they've been gone a long time.
I miss my grandmother's yeast rolls. They were the best!
Which came first? The A&W restaurant or the drink? I didn’t even know they had them.
I believe the restaurant was in existence long before the root beer was distributed in grocery stores.
@OlderAndWiser Get outta here. For real? I didn't know that! I thought the restaurant was based off of the drink.
My favourite cereal growing up in the early 90's was Rice Krispies Treats cereal. It was Rice Krispies Squares but in cereal form. Can't find this anywhere anymore since the mid 2000's. It's sometimes available in the USA but they changed the formula and apparently it's absolutely disgusting now.
You know… you could probably just make them yourself.
You’ve triggered a craving now. 😁
Might make them this weekend haha. Found a recipe online. Craving them so bad right now.
Funny how something so simple can be so addictive.
There used to be a wheel cleaner that you just had to spray on and let it sit for a minute an rinse it off with the hose. The wheels would be clean and shiny and you didn't have to go at it with a rag to get in all the crevices. This stuff was real toxic however and had a big warning on the bottle. They probably decided it was too toxic to use.
I notice this with a lot of vehicle products. Shame.
Dunkin donuts used to sell onion bagels and these incredible frozen lemonaids that were the only thing that would help with headaches when i got them. and now they no longer make either of them so no longer do i go there anymore. i even quit drinking coffee just to not go there anymore
I remember their lemonade. Think they were competing with Dels frozen lemonade at the time. That is another I miss too, it was so very good.
Well Dels disappeared. Maybe that had something to do with it. I can’t understand that either, they were always busy with a line. Even in winter.
I wish they never got rid of discovery zone as a kid if you type in "discovery zone 90s" into google you'll see it was a giant play place and and it was awesome to climb everywhere and they had another one that was Alittle bit smaller as a kid called kids play but somehow some tweaker got in there and left a drug needle in there and it killed a kid and they got sued and shut down but as a kid those places were hella fun!
Probably one of the best times i enjoyed being a kid.
I do remembrr this. Didn’t they have a Velcro wall too?
Yes. It was far better than chucky cheese, which I think was the only mild competition at the time.
RibQuik, Cheddarwurst, Jenni-O Turkey Roasts, Slim Jim Dares (Which have kinda made a comeback with "spicy" lame name) Pizzerias!
https://www.youtube.com/embed/QhT5o1ZloQMSeriously these were awesome!
Sounds like I was missing out.
Generations of humans that actually have a clue about shit, and have a sense of humour and respected themselves and their fellow humans, they don't seem to make those anymore 🤣
Yes they definitely exist in all generations, it just seems the newer generations lack it more than others, every bew generation is a littke worse than the last.
I don't follow media so I wouldn't know what they have to say on the matter, my life is much more peaceful without media influence 😂
Poore brothers brand salt and vinegar chips. They used to be produced out of goodyear Arizona and I loved them. I think Utz bought them or something but they killed the brand and now I’m sad
That’s a shame when that happens. Bought and shelved. That does sound good right now too.
I agree, and now I’m just going to find another small brand one because I love supporting the little guys when I can plus they usually have some epic flavors
Encyclopedias

I had a full set at home, probably the 90's print, started reading them when i was in first grade.
I liked how the information was "random" and i could just learn new things without needing know what i don't know yet so i could find ways to learn about it.
Campbell’s Chunky Chicken Noodle Soup before they changed the recipe. I used to love eating this, but about 10 years ago, they decided to update the recipe and now I don’t like it as much. It’s too salty now.
MacBeth shoes, super comfy, good looking, vegan skater shoes.
You can still find them, if you want to pay an arm and a leg.
The SONY Watchman. (Also known as the TV Walkman).
Also, I really loved my radio Walkman that I had back in the day. I wish they would make a more modern version with HD Radio capabilities.
Oh! Let me correct an error; sorry:. The Watchman and the TV Walkman were NOT the same thing. The TV Walkman (which I owned) only provided AUDIO from television stations. The Watchman actually had a screen so you could see things.
@dustybiker
Was that like a portable DVD player? I had one of those.
No; the portable DVD player was a different thing entirely. (Though, now that I think of it, it would have been cool if the CD Walkman -- which was the successor of the original Walkman that played cassette tapes -- had the capability to play DVDs as well and had a screen to watch them on. That would have been AWESOME. But, to my knowledge, that product never existed.)
The Watchman showed live TV only. I don't think it had any other functionalities.
I doubt that would have worked in my area. I’m surrounded by mountains. We still have cell phone dead zones.
@dustybiker You may be right. However, at the time, it worked extremely well in the areas where I tested it in Virginia and Maryland. I could regularly pick up stations from a distance of 80 miles away.
They've decided not to make yardsticks any longer... (Haha...)
McDonald's steak, egg and cheese bagel. It was the only thing I would constantly get off the breakfast menu.
I missed that completely. Sounds good.
Old style headphones. It is either something you stick inside your ear or is half the size of your head.
Absolutely!!
Mtn Dew Major Melon Zero Sugar
I would like to have a 1910 Indian Motorcycle Electric an adult version of a big wheel and the Karmann Ghia
I wish they'd during back Original Twinkies. Yes, I know they still make them, but they're not the same as the originals from the 1970s.
Vehicles and machinery with minimal computers and electronics. Especially tractors and atvs
It should be optional. Have you seen that show Clarkson's farm with Jeremy Clarkson? There is an episode where he bought a ridiculous tractor. So funny.
I agree! And no I’m quite deficient in tv watching
Cupcakes from a store in my neighborhood that closed during lockdown. They were so delicious and well-frosted.
Tina's Pizza Burritos
Well I'd say coke lime as it was my favorite. Before Coke discontinued it. But I quit drinking pop 5 months ago. So I guess nothing now.
Ummm coke like has been back for a while though.
I get it almost every time I go to see a movie
@Telekinetic-Potato I see it places in fountain drinks occasionally but not in bottles or cans.
Burgers where the beef is cooked fresh rather than being held in a warming drawer.
You can still find places that make fresh burgers lol. Even some chains make them fresh like steak and shake, 5 guys.
@Friendlybro79 Why can't everyone?
Coca~Cola with real sugar cane...
Yum.
(Submit slip.) I agree. Replacement sugars just aren’t as good.
I still can get the original glass bottle with real sugar cane, which is made in the region... but all others, always taste a bit different...
They have it in my area in tiny mini-marts or Mexican restaurants.
@28ouc I know... I'm Mexico, and there's plenty of different varieties (light, clásica, no sugar, diet) and versions as well (plastic bottle, disposable plastic bottles, glass bottles, cans, disposable glass bottles) and there's also different companies making Coca~Cola, for the Coca~Cola company so, what I mean is that... I wish that all of them used the same recipe... just so I don't have to check twice which one I am getting and where from... lol
Ben and Jerry's -- Rain Forest Crunch
What was in it?
Interesting. Have you asked the company?
I’ve been bugging Haribo for their stocking issues on star mints for months.
