Name some stores that was around when you were a kid, but is now out of business?

I can name a few great stores that died

Woolworths This one was in Milwaukee Wisconsin on Mitchell Street

1960s

Woolworths in 1996 and look there is another store that is also long gone to Goldmenn's

It was Gimbel's, Woolworths and Goldmenn's all three are gone now.

Mitchell Street Mid 1970s, you just see the Gimbel's sign, Walgreen's

I saw a lot of movies here as a kid. Here what it looks like now

The longest running buses in the country, Milwaukee ran these buses forever

Here is the old Sears Tower on the south side Milwaukee.
It is now a Mexican Grocery store. Top floors are empty

Who remembers Red Owl grocery stores. This one is just off 16th and Greenfeld ave. That building is now a food factory

Woolworths & Sears come to mind. Then in Canada there was Eaton's it was like a Sears store.

Wool Worths got cards and gold fish there and Ayre Ways. Bought my toys from ayre way , I think Target bought them out. Bacons , got clothes and shoes there.
