It depends on how you define big. Like most people my purchases increased incrementally as I got older. When I was a kid a $5 purchase seemed huge. A candy bar was 5 cents then, so $5 was a lot of money.
Anyway, a house would be my biggest purchase. I paid cash so it was a big outlay of money rather than making small payments. It was not a good financial decision and I knew that at the time. I bought it for other reasons.
I've never bought a new car and never will. But a car is still my second biggest.
Third and fourth would be computers
Fifth would be another car.
Obviously I've never been a big spender or materialistic. :)
Collectively my tools are pretty big. So are my music CDs.
1999 Toyota Tacoma single cab truck. His name was “Armand” from Interview with a vampire. Beautiful emerald green. My first German Shepherd flipped the steering gear shift into neutral when I made a left turn crossing 50mph traffic. Then she sat back and smiled, “Let’s see you get us put of this.” Which is when I made my second biggest purchase, as I traded for the bigger cab with a back seat. Same colour. She ended up like the back sliding window anyway. She could flirt with everyone. 😎
I bought a 1934 $10,000 dollar bill from my aunt for 25,000 dollars many years ago and now they are worth around $65,000 in very fine condition. In extremely fine condition the value is around $92,250
Mine is worth about 80,000-85,000 dollars. At least that's what it is insured for.

Not my bill, my is locked in a special vault for rare items

My TAG Heuer was a months wages when I bought it at 16 but the biggest purchase was probably my quarter panda ring at £500 (well £495) that was 1/6 of my compensation money
Depends what you define as "big".
I'd say my first was a 1989 Pontiac Firebird when I was 19. In hindsight it was only 7,000 dollars. But at 19 that seemed like a tremendous amount.
Less than £100 a computer, more than £1,000 a Motorbike, more than £100,000 a house.
