Where can I find a cheap A/C compressor?

I have a 2012 Ford fusion SE
See one on Amazon for $250. But can it be cheaper? :)

I use Automd. com whenever I need an auto answer. You can not only find out what the price of a part will run you. But how much labor it generally costs to get it fixed. It also gives you a list of shops in your area along with the hourly labor of each shop. So you can comparison shop. The site also will helps you diagnose problems and even give you step by step repair should you want to save a few bucks by tackling the repair job yourself, should you feel brave enough to do so.

You should have a car junkyard is your town you pull apart and it's a lot cheaper probably anywhere from 35 to a hundred bucks take a an ohmmeter with you so you can taste test it. Spin it make sure the the bearing makes no noise

Before you do that check and make sure your blender door is opening and closing correctly do you get any cold air at all if you turn the blender door to air conditioning you should hear a click or door opening and closing when you turn from Heat to air conditioning did turn your are adjusting knob not all the way too cold but like two clicks before the coldest setting see what happens

If you go to a wrecking yard you could pull one from another fusion

Auto wrecking yard, pick a part, places like that.
It is used, usually no warranty, but they might exchange it.
On the bad news side having the system evacuated and recharged is not cheap either.

Just remember... you get what you pay for. If you want your A/C compressor to last, don't buy an aftermarket part.

Unless you get one at the junk yard I think 250 is a good price. I looked into getting one for a 96 Tahoe and it was 900 bucks.

A used car dealership might be able to give you one for a cheap price.

I found one on eBay for a car and it was new for $110 , worked fine, or a junkyard if you can find a low mileage one
