What does this sign mean?

Obviously, with this sign, the store is trying to give shoppers the idea that they have low prices.

But is that really what it means? Maybe they have the highest prices 5 years in a row? Or maybe they used to have low prices, but not any more?

I don't know if you've got that supermarket in the states but it's one of those budget places. The type that sells brands you've never heard of. The sign means nothing because who exactly is voting? If you ask someone in the street who's the cheapest supermarket a lot will say aldi but that doesn't mean they shop there. The price comparisons are always "similar" products rather than like for like, its koka kola v Coca-Cola.

This particular store is in the states, been in various locations since 1976. A few of them opened in our Southeast US area two years ago.

I'm amazed! It's a German supermarket which, I'm told, got split into North and South German versions for the two sons of the founder.

Their UK adverts are pointing out that other supermarkets are always advertising price matching with Aldi, while all their products match Aldi prices!

it means that in the last five years in a row... they have ranked as the one number choice in the categorize of "best value"

or cheaper/lower prices compared to other stores

In addition when it was voted # 1 for price it could of been 20 years ago & when you think number one for price it did say for LOW PRICES.

The are the highest ranked grocer in America when it comes to the price of using a grocery cart. No other grocer charges a fee, so that makes Aldi number one.
