Nah i never did that.. but when i was in highschool i download simple monochrome pattern online, mostly lines. Then i printed it out with my mom printer and use it as a wrapper.. i dont like buy giftwraps back then cuz the giftwraps were tacky and colorful with animated, i just dont like, i made my own..

This is one of the giftwrap i made as a present to my bestie's birthday

But talking about newspaper, i did use it as cover wrap on my highschool books, just for my own like for do math stuff, any science basic formula, study notes, friends phone number, and random shits..
