Why do luxury lighters suck?

I bought a $200 cigar lighter, thinking it's the last one I'll ever need, and it doesn't work for shit!
But I can go to a gas station and buy a Bic for a dollar and it lights every time. Rip off!

My jet insert Zippo is terrible but the cheap one I actually got free when buying cigars works great
