Why is illumination hated so much?

Out of all movie studio companies. Illumination is the most hated movie companies, so why does it get so much hate? What is behind all the hate it's getting?

Illumination has great takes but their movies are corporate. There’s no love put into it, it’s all about making as much money as possible. All the characters move the same, it’s the same cliched jokes (the bears in the lorax movie are just another version of the despicable me minions, for example). It’s just garbage content from a studio that claims to love the animation industry.

The disappointing part is they HAD SOMETHING with their claim to fame movie, the first Despicable Me. It was a genuinely good movie about broken families coming together and a man with mommy issues healing them through parenting these 3 little girls while having his own villainous subplot. And what did they do in response? Because the minions were such scene-stealers, every movie after that featured them waaaaay more just because laughing kids meant more parents bought tickets to the movie or bought the DVD to take home to put on repeat. The love that was put into the first movie wasn’t in any of the following sequels.
