I applied online for a new credit card; was approved; but they didn't tell me my credit limit. Is that normal? ?

I recently got the AMEX Platinum, but these charge cards don't have a limit. I also have traditional credit card with them and that has a limit.

If it's a traditional credit card it could be where it's conditional limit until they do a hard credit report, then you'll find out in a letter or online.

All the credit cards I’ve applied for (12) online have given me a limit. Because some companies allow you to use it before you receive the actual card. Do you mind if I ask what company? It was a reputable company right? Not Billy Bob’s credit card shack or something like that?

Some credit card issuers still do things the old-fashioned way...

mail your credit limit to you besides your PIN.

usually they tell you. Be careful also a lot of credit card companies increase your limit without telling you. If it's your first CC depending where you live they start you off at 500$.. and then if you're good at paying back, and you request more credit they'll give it to you. One thing is check the interest rate, they're usually very high.. see if you can get a LOC ( line of credit) the interest rates are much lower.

My American Express card is like that. They never give a limit.

sooner or later you will see it from a letter they send you. Probably by mail most times.

yes they send they would send me the card in the mail in 10 business days

So when you get the card it should tell you... if not just call the number on the back and ask them.

Hopefully it wasn’t a scam to get your social security numbers but sometimes you don’t get the limit until you get the card

That is not normal. There must be something in the fine print that tells you your limit. If not you can call customer service and find out.
