I've just attended my first ever 'Barrett-Jackson LIVE' auto auction and I didn't anticipate that I'd get so invigorated. I've been to other auto auctions before but they were all boring. 'Barrett-Jackson LIVE' is a car show and an auction combined into one very big event.

Yes quite a few. Your average A1 auto auctions differ from the up market auctions where celebs cars or high value marques are being auctioned. The clientele also changes.

I haven’t noticed any popular celebrities here but this event is jumpacked with extremely wealthy peeps. So many cool vehicles here.

Yes there are those up market ones but the most common are the ones where normal people spend a couple of £k for a runaround or something to do up

I have actually, once or twice. It's an interesting experience but I sure would not want to be the one betting on a car. With an auction going that fast, how are you going to know what's wrong with the car... Although, they might be open to give you car stats and history before the auction...

I sometimes watch a bit of that B-J auction on TV. Those take hours, I believe.

I tried to bid on that '56 Gullwing (pictured above) but the bidding went up too far. :(

That SL was the Top Seller of the evening... $3.1 Million!

I was very close to a million $$$ already for that Gullwing!

I also tried my luck on President Trump's beautiful Le Mans blue '97 Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster but I backed out halfway through the process.

Bidding is exhilarating!

I left empty-handed though. :(
