Are these okay gifts?

My father and I aren’t close. We don’t get along. However, I’m grateful to him for his years of support, hard work and sacrifice and I want to honour him for that. I was wondering if a beautiful bunch of flowers, two good red wines and a medium sized box of French chocolates are a nice Father’s Day gift; and if French chocolates and a brand new leather jacket are okay birthday gifts?

Sounds lovely, but I think what’s also impt is if you think it’s the type of gifts he would like and want as every person is different.
I’m sure he will be really happy though :)

It is the thought that counts the most and I am sure he will love the gifts that you got him because they are from you!

I'd probably skip the flowers, depends on your father's taste but the rest sounds good
