Should I buy one, or a few gifts?

A friend of mine, is an orphan. I have the impression that my parents are considering inviting her to spend Christmas day with us, for lunch. I was wondering, in this case, should I give her one good gift, or a few little gifts?

Stocking stuffer type gifts, that make it seem like she’s got more presents? She seems like someone who’d have expensive tastes, however, I have an eye for cheap things that look expensive.
