Why ask but not deliver?

Long story short. He knew my bday was coming up asked what I wanted I told him. But no gift was given at all. Why ask me about a gift but not deliver? And only say happy bday

Yikes…. Could it be that he couldn’t get it in time / won’t be in stock until after your birthday?

You should tell him that it made you upset and really broke your heart, ask him why didn’t you give me the gift? He would explain everything or at least should explain everything since you deserve closure.

Could’ve just been all talk no action/real intention to or like everyone said, it’s not arriving till later

I would say he could’ve forgotten but in my opinion it’s weird to forget there

Could be a number of reasons.
Most probably he forgot about it coz of something stressful since he asked u what you want.
