Sure, only cheap stuff
Big chunk of lapis, an uncut emerald, an opal and a couple of low grade rubies
Cost me probably £300 all in and I sold the bigger ruby for £500 and lost the emerald in a jewellers who after looking on the floor and finding a few grams of gold agreed to me taking that as compensation, £50 wasn't bad for a pocket money stone

That sounds incredible risky. You might be better off finding a mainstream gem dealer that will provide EGL/GIA certs for anything you buy. What kind of stones are you looking for though?
Anything from India is probably glass but otherwise I've had good luck with it. I'm looking for everything. Recently I bought some emerald crystals I intend to maybe resell.
