What should I do with these gifts?

My best friend said it was stupid to invest so much time and care into a new friendship, with a woman who wasn’t a real friend to me in the first place. She’s right.

But I bought the friend a really nice milestone birthday gift. A pink sapphire ring. I haven’t given it to her and I have a cousin who’d like it, just as much. I also have Christmas gifts…should I find other friends/relatives for them, too? I don’t know if they’d appeal to my other relatives. I also have a clutch hand bag and a pretty ornament. Should I give them to my cousin? It’d save me money. I also think she’d like them.

Um that totally sucks what happened with that "friend." I can't believe she wasn't being real with you after you went through all that effort already!

As for the gifts, you've gotta do what feels right for you girl. If this cousin is actually a good friend who would appreciate the nice presents, then I don't think it would be wrong to pass them on. She'd be getting a nice gift and you wouldn't be wasting your money on someone who wasn't really down for you, ya know?

The only thing I'd say is make sure your feelings are in a good place first before seeing the presents again. Don't wanna ruin birthday vibes cuz you're still salty about the other chick. Maybe pack it all away nice for your cousin till the time is right to give without feeling bad.

Or you could always return/resell what you can if it would make you feel better too. Either way, focus on yourself and real ones who really support you from now on! Can't be wasting time or money on fake friends. You deserve better babe!
