What's best way to glue candy to t-shirt for costume?

For Halloween, I've gotten the idea of covering a shirt with a whole variety of wrapped candy (non-chocolate) and maybe a top hat and be the candy man. Problem is, I don't know what kind of adhesive should I use for the costume.

I need it to be strong enough to hold the candy on my shirt for over 5 hours and not fall off due to heat and sweat, yet I want people to be able to take the candy off me fairly easily. Please be specific about the adhesive typed used if you can.

I'm about to leave my part time job at Michael's at the end of the week, so I need answers soon to use employee discount.

I found some strong permanent fabric glue that isn't so permanent. It works great.

You could melt sugar (which is quite dangerous if done wrong) in water to a thick consistency and dab it on. I think a cotton shirt would be best because the hot sugar would get right in the material and basically act as glue. The problem is that it becomes like rock candy, so it may be very uncomfortable. As far as I know, hardened sugar doesn't melt unless it gets wet again so, yeah, get out of the rain. Plus, this way the adhesive won't make anyone sick.

I have no idea if this would actually work by the way.

That would definatley stick to shirt, but not sure about leftover stains or how hard it would be for others to tear off? But it'll definitely stick through heat for a long time. Thanks
