My son randomly gave me this seahorse as a gift this morning! He knows i love seahorses. It was just so sweet and thoughtful of him. I know he probably stole it from school but like damn I've been smiling all day about it 🥲🥲

I received a surprising Christmas gift from a guy I have recently been connecting with / dating. We have only known each other for 2 months, and despite him requesting to be exclusive, I am not comfortable with that yet - since he is long distance, and we can only see each other 2x a month. We've had 5 dates together, and he is already adamant i'm "his one". For Christmas, he bought me a really expensive diamond necklace, with a silver chain and an entire year worth of cleaning for it.

I was very flattered, but questioned it, as I don't want to fall for a Love-bomber, nor am I someone who is "bought". I'm paying attention to his actions, respect toward me, and it's been a questionable thing since meeting him.

I bought him a blue tooth beanie, with matching insulated heated gloves that are rechargeable. Since he works outside, and has to endure the cold weather, it was a thoughtful gift over super expensive one. I am grateful for the necklace, but the intent behind it is what I am still trying to figure out here.

I recently had a customer come into my work to give a gift as thank you from his wife. She is diabetic, and back around Christmas I made them my homemade diabetic friendly French truffles. She wanted to do something in return. So her husband stopped into tell me she had a gift for me. Though, he was instructed not to give it to me unless she was there. Then a few days later he came back to bring me a gift from her. She would have come in with him. However, she is struggling health wise. It was a hand crouched stocking cap well nowadays I guess it is called a beanie. Then she wrote a lovely letter in a greeting card, and gave me slipper socks.

My birthday gift from a mom last month, actually.

I'm not totally sure what she was thinking, but she bought me this absolutely hideous pair of pants. I think they're supposed to be outdoor pants or something. I guess they'd be good for hunting or yardwork.

I'm sure I'll find a use for them 😂

I did get a very nice house robe. Plush. I did get a big chocolate candy too. Like a mega Hershey kiss. Probably stuff that got used up. Perfumes and bath sets. That’s usually how it goes.

My sister rediscovered a book series she liked from youth. She demanded I buy it. I told her I added it to my list. Next thing I know her husband sends me a link from Kindle gifts. That was surprising and incredibly thoughtful. And now I am forced to read them, next. lol

It was a small cute gingerbread boy figurine that she gave me for Christmas.

As being a giver is my nature, I am always appreciative whenever I receive something no matter how small. It's often the small, less expensive gifts that are most thoughtful. When the kids were little, the stuff they made was priceless and I saved every one of them :)
