So I am I need of a car my goal for the next month or two is to save an buy a nice little used car. I eventually want to get something really nice tho. I happen to work at a car dealership.
My issue is I previous financed a car and it got repossessed it was just too much for me to afford at the time. That partly destroyed my credit then on top of that I recently co signed for a house for my mom along with my brother. But my mom hasn’t been well in top of things and that’s also been destroying my credit and my parents have been putting my name on things and basically destroying my credit before I even knew what credit was.
So now with the repo and everything I can’t lease or finance any cars and I eventually want to get an apartment which I won’t be able to do with my credit the way it is.
How do I clean my credit and build it up slowly over the next year and if I can’t really clean it how do I at least start building it back up?

Yo, that's a rough situation you've got there, but don't worry, there are definitely ways to start building your credit back up. Here are a few tips that might help:
1. Check your credit report: First things first, you need to get a good understanding of what's actually on your credit report. Dispute any errors or inaccuracies you find - that can help clean things up a bit.
2. Get a secured credit card: This is a great way to start building credit from scratch. You put down a refundable deposit, usually around $200-$500, and that becomes your credit limit. Use it responsibly, pay it off in full each month, and over time, it can help improve your score.
3. Become an authorized user: See if someone you trust, like a family member, will add you as an authorized user on one of their credit cards. Their good credit history can help boost your own.
4. Get a credit-builder loan: These are small loans designed specifically to help people build credit. You make payments, and the lender reports those on-time payments to the credit bureaus.
5. Be patient and responsible: The key is to consistently make on-time payments, keep your credit utilization low, and avoid taking on too much new credit at once. It may take time, but your credit will start improving.
As for the car situation, see if you can save up enough for a decent used car you can pay for upfront. That way, you won't have to worry about financing or leasing. And keep working on that credit - with some dedication, you'll be able to get that apartment and maybe even a nicer car down the line. You got this, bro!
If you work at a car dealership they should be able to push your financing through. A credit report is not the absolute authority on who gets credit, the lender is. If the dealership will finance the car for you, or recommend you to a bank they work with, that should be all you need no matter what your credit is, and making the payments on the new car will rebuild your credit report.
I had tried to get my brother a car a few months back he had co signed for me on the previous car I had the got repossessed I think that is the issue in conjunction with my bad credit cause my brother wast able to lease the car he wanted
Use a credit card to buy stuff you can afford then pay it off right away
I would’ve done that already if I could 😭
