I would wait until you can afford to buy what you are ordering. Debt is to be avoided. Nothing wrong with waiting a bit until you can afford the item.
but what if you have a stable job?
Still no reason to go into anymore debt then you have to.
I'm not in any debt but I get you.
Why give Amazon any more money in interest?
I have. Just splits payments over so many months without interest. They just charge your card once a month until paid.
Okay and do you get the product one time?
I'm thinking about getting a phone.
Yes. So let's say something is $100. You do the amazon pay thing for 4 months. They ship the product immediately for $25 and then the next three months you get a notification that your $25 is due and they charge your card.
Okay thank you.
They basically bill your payment method of choice once per month until it's paid off. Depending on your credit situation you either have to make your payment up front or you don't.
Honesly it's pretty easy.
I only did it once though, it was the middle of a cold snap, my thermostat broke, and it was starting to get really cold, and I was between pay checks. So I got a Google nest on a payment plan, and paid it off the following month.
