Why is SpongeBob bad? I just had a mom at daycare have a fit over her kids winning SpongeBobs stuff?

I have a small daycare in my house. We had a kids carnival and all the kids won something.

• They were really excited. They won SpongeBob stuff. the mom was furious and gave it back to me because SpongeBob sets a bad example for the kids. SpongeBob is evil. So I am letting them play with it here. Am I wrong? I see nothing wrong with it. I also put the goldfish they won in the fish tank so they can feed it every day. Because there mom wouldn't let them bring it home.

You have to be careful with kids cartoons now. It's sick and it's sad but so many have been coopted to teach kids that perversion is somehow OK and "normal" . Granted Sponge Bob didn't start out evil but I guess he is now. people.com/.../
