If I have to pick one of the choices, I'll go with the vegetable, although she's a very picky eater.

Many years ago, I made the mistake of buying my then-wife a set of drinking glasses for our anniversary. They were the same glasses that she told me she wanted to replace the collection of different glasses we were using... it just didn't occur to me that it was a lousy anniversary gift, until she didn't talk to me for two days after our anniversary.
