Do you guys use credit cards, debit cards, or cash more? And what’s the main reason you prefer one over the others?

Tbh, I usually use credit card and this makes me spend a bit more sometimes 😄

I use a credit card for most purchases. I rarely use cash and I don't believe in debit cards.

I treat the credit card like cash that I don't have to carry, keeping track of what I buy and paying the bill in full at the end of every month. Cash I only use for small purchases, or for places that don't accept credit cards. To me, a debit card is risky. If it's lost or stolen, someone could clean out my bank account. That's not possible with a credit card. In fact, federal law limits my liability if I quickly report a lost or stolen card. Credit cards also have perks, cash-back or airline miles that help reduce the prices I pay for goods.

Interestingly, during a recent visit to Amsterdam, there were several stores that do not accept cash, only credit cards. They view it as more secure, and less hassle for them to handle cash.

Yeah.. some places don't accept cash.. a few places o know they dint accept large bills like $100.. because of the fraud

I look at it like this If I dont have the cash on me I dont need it

I have them all. Was writing a cheque the other day and it had been so long since I wrote one I actually forgot.

I but some things on credit for the record.

My side hustles as Americans call it involve a lot of cash in hand, because I dont pay tax on it I can't really put it into my bank account so I get rid of it buying groceries, restaurants etc.

Debit and cash. I never owned a credit card, they aren't common here. Being in debt here is like having low credit score in US, no matter if you pay those credits back, you're considered irresponsible financially if you are taking short term credits.

Debit card and cash. Credit card interest rates are high, so using credit is only for items that I must use credit for: car rental, hotel rooms, plane fare. I do use a gas credit card because of discount points. At farmer's markets I always use cash because the merchants are small business people. If a business does that 3.5% charge for credit card use, I'll use cash.

so I barely carry anything with me
As for spending habits, I know I could have a bit more discipline but I’m not irresponsible.
I keep track as best I can

Almost CC only, debit here and there. I haven’t carried cash in literally years. Just tapping a card is so much easier.
