Should I give a not-close friend $30 or choose a cheaper birthday gift?

A friend of mine who isn’t a close friend has requested money for her birthdays and I don’t have enough money with all the friends I’ve got, to be able to be truly generous at her birthday parties. Should I give her money, even though it’s a bit expensive for me, like about $30, or should I just buy her snacks from Aldi, or make some cakes, or buy her a cake?

Especially from haters. I had people telling me to do a cursed prayer on gifts they were giving to their haters. So becareful do not accept just any gift only to people you love.

Wow! That is a new one. Someone begging you for money on their birthday... and who is not even a close friend yet. 🙄 Question is, are you going to fall for it? If you do it will probably become a yearly ritual. Just give her a card with a $5 gift card to McDonald's.

i give a standard Steuben bowl as a sort of snub when a gift is “expected” from me but shouldn't be, such as if i'm only invited to something because they want a gift from me. not propah!

If you can afford, you should be more generous than 30 Bucks. My experience is that generosity pays often off.
