Why are guys finally noticing me?

I'm a sophomore in high school and I've lived in this same town since grade school so I've grown up with these guys (and girls). I've always been pretty smart, and I'm known around the school and the community for my academic achievements, but I've never really attracted many guys. I'm also a pretty good athlete in soccer, basketball, softball and now cross country (just joined this fall). I've been playing sports for years and rarely did I ever get any attention from any guys.

Now for some reason all of a sudden I have a handful of guys flirting with me and admiring me. Today was the first day of school and I caught a handful of guys staring at me. At first I thought they were being jerks and making fun of me, but then some of them approached me and we started talking. I've known these guys since little league baseball, and they've never really noticed me... until now... but why now? I can't tell why I'm all of a sudden noticed. It's like they think I'm a new person. I'm the same old 'smart-asian' they made fun of for years, so why all of the flirting and admiring and attention now?

Same thing happened to me. People change that's all I can say. I had girls that rejected me in Middle School that stared at me non stop like I was a movie star in high school. People change just don't let it change you.

because you are all a little older,guys are dummies..u are probably blooming into a beautiful young lady and guys are noticing that,maybe they have been intimidated since you are so accomplished.

At 15-16 girls change a lot... and boys get a lot more flirty. Maybe you are becoming an attractive woman and boys your age, with their hormones boiling like crazy, can't help but hit on you.
