Boyfriend's 17th Birthday Gift Ideas?

My boyfriend is turning 17 next week (it's two days before Valentine's day...). We've been together for about 5 months. My birthday was last week and he got me a really pretty bracelet that was probably pretty expensive. We both are into soccer and I got him a Manchester United jersey for Christmas. Now I'm not sure what to get him. I just don't think I should get him something soccer related unless I absolutely can't think of anything. He's really athletic and does track and he also does percussion in band. He likes to fish, too, but I don't know much about that subject. And while I'm at it I might as well ask what a guy would like to receive for Valentine's day. I'm not to sure about that either. Please help! Thanks!

I have a suggestion that will make your boyfriend love you, or at least keep the gift you have him for a long time. You need to get a card that says happy birthday. Nobody seems to do that any more. Write a message and remember to write your name underneath the message. Then kiss the card with lipstick. Make sure that your kiss mark is visible. Then spray it with your favorite perfume, something that defines you. Getting gifts for young guys is tough. You should give more detail of what he wears, how many shoes he has, does he have piercings. Is he fashionable? If he is fashionable, then get him cologne. Fierce by Abercrombie & Fitch is a really nice gift. Or a necklace. Any necklace will due but make sure its silver and not gold. Only gangsters wear gold chains. You could also give yourself to him, jump out of a box. Make sure you're not completely naked or that ruins the fun. Whip cream and strawberries is a really good idea. :) the last part was me having a little bit of fun.

Haha thanks! I really love the card idea! He's not exactly what I would call fashionable, but he wears a lot of athletic type clothing and stuff from Hollister. I think I may give the cologne idea a try. Thank you!

Since you're both under 18 this may be a bit harder, but I found, that unless recently mentioned something he wants, events are best.

In your cases i.e. get him united tickets (although I suppose you're from the US, so that may be hard). Maybe there is some kind successful college team or something though.

Or get him a piece fishing equipment and organise a weekend camping/fishing trip for the two of you.
