If your girlfriend cooks something for you and if that tastes terrible, would you still eat it?

Question

Let's say your girl friend or your boy friend cook something and it was toooo salty or tooo oily :)
would you still eat it? 
My sister is a terrible cook, I once mentioned here my sister's cookie was the nastiest food that I've ever tasted in my life haha 
but she brought her boy friend today along with her cookie jar and I saw him finished the whole jar of her cookies I was like "is this what true love looks like?" :P

Hm, i'd tell her in the most loving way. I'd tell her that i love her efforts. the food may taste bad but i'll tell her i find her cooking cute and sexy. i'd say, i love the way she wiggles why cooking or whatever.

yes, even if the food taste bad, i'd do my best to eat it and show how i really, really appreciate the time she cooked for me. she is very special to me. but still it is more loving to tell the truth than to let her dwell and perhaps embarrass herself one day for cooking for others.

wow i admire your sister's bf... hahahah.. what a sweet fella. actually you should provide food for your husband out of convenience too. and do your best to improve. Love always bring us to the next level. do you know i change myself so much cuz of my gf. i became a better person.

I would say "I love you for trying but this tastes terrible" then proceed to cook something else or order some take-out. There's no point in forcing myself to eat something that tastes bad then give her the impression that she should attempt the same recipe again.

If it's really bad, I WILL say so.

My boyfriend is 50/50 at cooking. Sometimes he makes food that blows me away, sometimes it's just disgusting.

At one point when he was constantly cooking for me while I was recovering from surgery, I found it really hard to mention that sometimes the food was gross, since he was kind enough to take time off work to look after me.

When I finally mustered the courage to tell him and said we needed to talk, he said I gave him a big scare, since he thought I was gonna say something serious and it was just me telling him his cooking was bad. He was so relieved when he found out it was just that lol.
I just didn't want to hurt his feelings, because he was doing his best.

After that it was much easier to say how we feel about each other's cooking. We even have little contests of whose food was better that day, haha.

I'd make a face and force it down.
The only thing I spit out is the stuff I can't even chew.
They never seem to get upset from it. They just take it away from me because they know I'd force it down till I get sick.

I know when I made a mistake. I'll warn them that it's too sweet and we should throw it out. Sometimes they agree. sometimes they say that they like it. Sometimes They tell me I've done better and tell me what I should fix

I wouldn't let her cook for me in the first place if I knew that her food was going to be awful haha. But I'm not very picky when it comes to food, so I'd grin and bear it if she did make me something awful.

I'd never let her cook for me again though, I'd always come up with some way to get around it.

I'm Cambodian, we practically eat our own shit, so I have an EXTREMELY high tolerance for food.

In all of my 28 years of living I have NEVER eaten something that I couldn't finish.

The first time my girlfriend cooked something for me, I tried to pretend it was good, I really really did. But it was so awful I laughed so hard I nearly fell off my chair. She's a terrible cook, no doubt about it. Still the best girl in the world though.

I would eat it the first time. But I would tell her the truth. I think lying is wrong. If I don't tell her I didn't enjoy it, she'll keep making it and therefore I suffer, and she'll be misinformed about her cooking skills and therefore she suffers. I would say something like, "I didn't really enjoy, but I think it's so sweet that you made the effort. You're such a great girlfriend". If she's not happy with that honest but caring reply, she's not the girl for me.

I just smile and try to finish it if possible or at least make I look like I eat enough. if she ask "how was it" or "was it good" I honestly say it was great... as in great = I didn't have to cook it I just don't give that much detail...lol
