I'd tell her honest feedback on what I didn't like about it. If it's a cultural dish, I would ask if there's another one more to my liking. If it's an issue with spices or ingredients I don't like, id let them know to see if they're willing to make two at the same time, one without the spice or ingredients.

If it didn't come out right due to burning, too salty, etc, we could work on it together. I'd also be willing to just suck it up and eat in the other two if she insists I might like it after a while. I'm picky but, that's been a hang up from childhood.

Depends on how nasty it is, lol. If I could swallow it, I’d tell him it was awful but still eat it. If it’s just gross then I wouldn’t eat it and I’d cook us something instead… Probably poke fun at him.

I remember I tried to make seafood Mac n cheese, but forgot to tell him I put seafood in it… 😅. This man called me and fussed for a good 15 minutes about how disgusting it was & to never ever make it again and to give him a heads up when I decide to put fish in Mac n cheese 😅

My husband is comfortable with receiving criticism regarding his cooking.

With that said, I'd tell him that wouldn't continue eating what he cooked.

Soon after, he'd ask me to show him how to improve it.

I'd tell her that I didn't care for it. I wouldn't be mean about it. We would be able to discuss it light heartedly. She would wonder what I didn't like about it and she might even agree.

No but it does depend, I am fairly okay cooking, some things I suck at and I have always asked for honest opinions, if it sucks please tell me or you might keep getting it. With previous gf’s and also family, I will say if I don’t like something. To me it’s better to be open with it, than suddenly find out it’s your every Friday meal. It does suck and can hurt but I need to do that. I won’t mention she may end up across my lap lol.

I would have to say something, why waste your time and money if it isn't good.
I tend to be a very simple eater so if it something way over the top I may just not eat it.
I tend to be pretty up front about what I eat and don't eat, that way we can go to a place where we both might like something or if one of us cooks we can avoid what the other person doesn't like.

Consuming for taste most probably means poor additive choices , such as sugar , or others.

I have told her before. If it's not positively terrible, I'll eat it since I hate throwing food away. If it's really bad, it goes in the garbage

Usually, if I think it's nasty (which is rare), she does too and we say "Well, the raccoons are going to eat well tonight." as we toss the meal into the woods.
