Lesson is learn why you are attracting and not filtering out such women. Probably a "nice" guy... and that's bad.

@SolitarySolace you can critizize women and specifically a woman, but people don't see their flaws so well nor do they want to change. They are people and in some ways more complex, emotional, and hormonally variable. Such is reality.
I don't know enough of your scenario to say what happened and why. It would certainly challenge your sense of trust and I'd wonder if that was a one off or consistent pattern of whom you drawn. I'd look to myself more than the other. It's all learning lesson. You'd need a secure well trained person if you were to do pursue again.
If you can get through life only losing $1000 to someone whom lies, you've done extremely well.
There are really good quality women out there, but takes a lot of fiiltering... and I seriously doubt those ones will be playing the "sexy" card. I've never trusted those types.

@SolitarySolace If that video is how you view life, not much I say is going to help you. I do not see that video in my reality, at all. It may be true in areas.
The issue of being cheated on multiple times... that feel awful and you don't deserve that. Any trauma like that would be impactful, no wonder the refrain from women.
But to me it isn't about blame, it's about probability of outcomes. I know plenty of people not cheating. I know some that have. Anytime there is repetition, one has to look at themselves. That is the lesson I apply to myself. Anyone can get unlucky once, maybe even twice. But as such, the value is in the inner self and change in my experience.
I had the same issue with snakes... one bit me, and I detested them all. That is not fair nor right... but it is human. I had to overcome that fear. You can do the same, by facing the challenge of what happened, finding the value in it, and growing so you make better choices. It's the only thing you control.

If you wanted to move forward towards someone, I'd say... it's fixable with understanding and healing, but it's work to dig through what happened, do the repair. I say that because... the reality of "find mate", hormones, and resolution of love... does not go stop, it just gets displaced for some time. If you had trauma going to get a drink of water... three times in a row, I guarantee you'd eventually go back to drinking something. Ya can't turn either of those off. @SolitarySolace Because I did that for my own reasons, it's life based upon fear. Nothing is achieved with that mentality. If you are 50+, then maybe ok.. you can avoid women. If you are young... you can avoid what is in essence... fear of pain, but like I said, you can't deny yourself water for very long. The women will come around...
In hindsight... my lessons learned when I suffered pain was "I needed to evolve and grow". Ignoring the signals just postpones til another day.
