Why do people see Emo's as disgusting and worthless?

Well, people are saying Emo's are disgusting and just blahhh. Why is that? They're human beings too, they just have been hurt more by YOU guys. So basically they aren't the disgusting ones. If you hurt them you're the disgusting ones. So please clear up to me, why are you people so mean and hurtful towards Emo's?

I haven't done anything to hurt Emo's, nor have they been hurt more than any other person in history. They simply aren't good at handling the harsher side of life. This makes them look weak and whinny. That is why so many people look down at them. There is also an element of ageism, where older people look for flaws in younger people.

It's all a matter of perspective, people handle their issues differently but when you stand out from the masses you will be prosecuted for it especially when you portray it in your outward appearance. Sucks, I know.
