It's not so much that people hate emo kids it's more of the fact that they hate that they have to be so melodramatic about every little thing that happens in their life, they have to understand that everyone goes through their own things and yes they want to express themselves in a way that they make themselves feel important by dragging attention. What they fail to understand is again everyone has something to deal with and everyone deals with it differently some people use drugs and some people use therapy but they assume that by doing what other people do on the Internet it's the way to do things and that's why they receive so much hate on social media
Back in my teen years, i strictly remember emo kids thinking they are always right, and no one understands there pain and think there above all cause suffered mental pain. Theyll get sarcastic or call you names when your not philosophical like they are. Gets annoying.
its kinda sad how people are like that. I don't have anything against emo kids. its just that people see emos as depressive cutters that hate life and are whinny. a long time ago I used to think the same but I became friends with a few and they are pretty cool. I'm not emo I just look like a thrash chick and people tend to see me as a girl that gets drunk and smokes weed with satan and kills anyone who ain't thrash. people just get stuck with believing stereotypes man, but just be who you are and not worry about what anyone else thinks XD
Well, typically they are super cringy. As a former "emo" kid, I understand why everyone hates emos. They are whiny and all they do is complain obnoxiously that they are worthless and no one cares about them. They think they are cool and unique and that their music is mental. They are just, most of the time, idiot kids and some people hate them of course but most people who say they hate emos don't really hate hate them. Just the way they act and portray themselves but it's 9/10 just a phase.

Well, they usually want attention and they do whatever it takes. Honestly, don't worry about what people say about you and your style. It's yours. If you're not emo, you're not. If you are, you are. Not a big deal.
Ah I remember those days. The difference though is I never walked around calling MYSELF emo. That's whats weird. In my middle school years emo was just now coming out and it was new. 'Scene' wasn't even around yet, BUT nobody actually associated with the term emo. It was derogatory. Once I got in highschool 'scene' came along but I noticed the middleschoolers calling THEMSELVES emo. I began to hate labels really because you shouldn't try to fit an image. I may like the 'emo' hairstyle with jagged edges and such and hell like wearing band tees, but I'm not emo. I'm Trevor lol
I still listen to some of the 'emo'/'scene' bands but I also like tons of other stuff too now. Sorry if I made this long, Idek if this is a serious post or not but just always make sure you're not following a trend and instead be open to finding more about yourself blah blah I sound old.
Theyre pretty cringy. I dont hate emos. I just think they overreact and are stubborn "this isn't a phase mom ugh im gonna cut cause you cleaned my room. Life is so hard. I dress like a freak and wonder why people dont accept me"
