do you still respond? or just ignore it completely?

or what if it is someone you never really converse with, but only text so you two can meet up? (fwb kind of thing)?

I would only respond when I woke up if it was a close friend, and I wanted to talk to them. If it's someone I don't usually talk to, I'd just let it go and assume they were drunk or something like that.

If it's an friends with benefits I probably wouldn't respond…especially since they were probably just texting you for some fun anyway and the time passed.

When you see it in the morning, wait until, like, about 10:00. (Some people sleep late), then respond. For the second, it is whatever you feel like.
