Facebook... what does on mobile mean?

When I open a chat it sometimes says active, 1hr... i know what that means but what does on mobile mean?

A friend of mine send me a text. I saw it 15 mins later. . and 20 mins later it said on mobile. So what does that mean?

Any ideas you guys?

I think it means they sent the message through their phone. When people are actually online it means they are on a computer with all the features of Facebook and if it says mobile then they are on Facebook, but on their phone instead.
