Do women find "househusbands" attractive?

What do women think of men who stay home as househusbands and stay-at-home dads rather than earning a living to provide for their family?

I find househusbands attractive and manly and would want to be married to one

I can't vote because I do find it attractive... to an extend.

I believe in splitting chores. Even if one person spends all day at home, it's nice say if that person did the cooking, cleaning, dusting, washing, etc etc, it would be nice if the other person would just do the dishes. Or, just for one night, do the cooking instead.

So, I like a man who chips in and helps and does his bit. A dedicated house husband? No, I'd rather be the housewife. I guess what I'm saying is I like a man who knows how to do it, but I don't expect it of him.

It's not a matter of what I find "attractive" or not--it's more of a matter of how are we going to get by? I find it stressful enough trying to make enough for me to get by, and I still live with my parents. I know I just would not be able to support both him and myself financially, not to mention any kids we might eventually have. So having a husband who didn't work just wouldn't be realistic for me. I can't make enough to support us both.

Or I'll put it this way - if you had great earning potential, how would you feel about a guy who wanted to be a stay-at-home dad / househusband? Would you find that attractive in a guy?

Even in that case, I can't say I find it "attractive" or "unattractive". By the time we're looking at moving in together and who's going to pay the bills, obviously I'm in love with him at that point, and am more concerned about what's going to make him happy. The thing is though, I don't like to work that much. I suffer with depression and anxiety and it's hard for me to get up and exert energy for extended periods of time, especially frequently each week. So if I were to be expected to make the money for the both of us, that would be really intimidating and hard for me. So I'd really prefer if the guy would be willing to work too.
However, if there was somehow a scenario in which I could work part time, doing something I enjoyed, and still make enough for the both of us, and my husband really wanted to stay home, I'd be okay with that.
Can't say I find his desire to stay home and let his easily-stressed and depressed wife do all the work "attractive" though.

I'd have no problem with my husband being a "house husband" if I made enough money to support him & my family. Unfortunately, I do not make enough to support all the bills & costs of running a family, so I would need a man to contribute to the household income.

I think an additional question to this would be after asking girls if they would find a house husband attractive or if they wouldn't want to be married to a house husband would be to ask them if they are willing to be a housewife. So that way you can see if they are hypocritical when they say they won't marry a guy that is a house husband but yet they would want to be the housewife.

That's because you're blind. If person A is an X and person B won't date person A because they are an X yet person B expects person A to accept them despite the fact that they are an X then yes it is hypocritical. person A = male and X = house husband/wife and person B is female. The female is hypocritical.

It's the same thing as saying, "I don't date smokers" but the person that says this is a smoker themselves. If a woman is willing to be a housewife, then it is hypocritical for her to refuse to date a guy who is willing to be a househusband. Change the word husband and wife to spouse. Women that want to be a housewife don't want to marry a guy that is a house husband because they want the guy to work and support her, but she refuses to put herself in position where she is working and supporting a guy. Not only is it hypocritical, but it's also sexist.

Women like guys who respect themselves. If you're a guy who's completely comfortable being a stay-at-home dad, and not overcome by how society might judge you, then I guarantee that you will have no trouble finding a girl. Well a girl who's mature and forward-thinking at least... which I think is what we're all looking for.

I'd leave them at my mum's. To be honest when I have my kids I'll leave work and be a full time mom/housewife. If not then when he works I'd stay at home. And when I'm at work he can stay at home
