Heath Ledger's Joker is my favorite, followed by Liam Neeson's Ra's al Ghul. If I had to pick from one of the original movies, definitely Danny Davito's Penguin. Awesome acting and awesome character.

Jack Nicholson was a good actor and his Joker was loved by all, until Heath came in. He is the most awesome Joker, now matter how many times you try to deny it. Joker character was not a drug addict - Ledger was.
Old Batman (especially first and second movie) was much better than the new one, Nolan is completely distorting the characters.
Jack Nicholson's Joker was schizophrenic & euphoric type of lunatic, absolutely in accordance with the comic book Joker.
Heath's Joker was maniacal & depressive type of lunatic, definitely out of order with the original character... his popularity is based mainly on bunch of ignorant kids, and the fact that Ledger died, which is sad, but it doesn't make him a better Joker than Nicholson.

I'm going to go with Liam Neeson here. He's a bad ass. And that's taking nothing away from Hardy ' s performance as Bane or Ledger as the Joker. They all rocked. But Nolan ' s films topped the Burton and Schumacher films.

That is NOT the original Bane. I have never seen a character bastardized is hard as Bane was in that movie. Oh gosh, what a terrible thing

That " bastardized" Bane is the more likely version of the character... such brute character would most certainly not be so eloquent and articulated as the one in "The Dark Knight Rises".

He isn't like that though, that's the thing. In the comics, where he came from, he's actually very articulate and intelligent, as well as a brute. He's famous not just for being strong, but for figuring out Batman's identity by himself. That's what made him a cool character, that there was a lot more to him than the strength. And that's why it was so frustrating when that movie took a pretty cool character and shit on it.
