2.57 GPA is good or bad?

Question

My GPA 2.57 and I go to a private school. The standard are very high than the public school. I got all B but one F in Geometry. If go to a public school I will get all A. Will college accept me.

4.0 = A
3.0 = B
2.0 = C
1.0 = D

a C grade is considered average. so you are slightly above average in terms of grade point average. A college will absolutely accept you just do your research and find out what the GPA requirements are for various colleges. Most state schools will accept a 2.57, particularly on an in-state student. Private schools may be a bit more strict but there are still plenty that will accept a 2.57. I think something most people tend to forget is; colleges are a business. So it isn't really their practice to turn down people but actually figure out if a person isn't acceptable... Contrary to what some are saying 2.57 isn't bad, but it isn't good it's a bit above average

I don't even know what my GPA was in high school, I just remember walking out hahaa. I'd say you're not too far off from good, guessing.

Hate to bring the bad news but you might need to retake that Geometry class and have intensive tutoring if possibly. Right now I'm a freshman in HS and my GPA is 3.75. As others mention, instead of just aiming for just the minimum passing GPA (2.0 to under 3.0), raise it to at least 3.0. That's the minimum GPA in order to get into good colleges so no, your GPA isn't good.

Not good. The public school I went to had -much- higher standards than the local private schools. You want to aim for at least a 3.0 cumulative gpa for regular colleges... and 3.7-3.8+ for the Ivy League schools. You can get into community college and city/state funded schools with your current GPA.

C average? If graduating is your goal... you'll be fine but if you want to attend a top tier university you might want to consider taking summer school or visit the tutoring center.

It's depend on the college terms, you have to make research about college and see what GPA they look for I won't make u lose hope but your GPA is so low for a good college sorry
