I could not find any source material that substantiated your claims of "banned in the USA" meaning that the entire populace of the USA would be committing a crime by listening to it.

I did, however see that it is banned from some TV stations including MTV, VH1 and all the channels that usually play music videos.

It is most likely banned from TV because it creates negative advertising revenue instead of positive, so TV stations/channels have literally no incentive to run the music video. That being said, those channels barely run music videos as it is and music videos get far more hits on the Internet (which is still largely unregulated)... so who cares?

Also, all Lowkey is is the UK version of Brother Ali. Both criticize the USA government and both are (quite obviously) not liked by the powers that be. You can't expect to challenge the establishment and be welcomed with hugs by said establishment. The hugs have to come from the culture and people themselves.

I loved the song. It's all true, just like the stuff Brother Ali says.

But it's not banned. It's on the internet. Until the USA government shuts that down, everyone can view it freely. It's just "banned" (not shown on) traditional media networks.
