Foreign languages. I love animals a LOT, but I think their silence is one of their endearing qualities. They can't express any sort of judgment, disdain, or criticism for what I do or say. They just sit there and seem to like you regardless. That's a-okay in my book.

Language is a serious barrier when it comes to getting to know others, especially since I only know English. I have met so many people from different countries, especially Asian and Nordic countries, most being able to speak English, but some not being able to. It would be AMAZING to communicate with anyone regardless of language. It would totally erase the confusion of hearing people speak in a foreign language.

Definitely talk to animals. Considering I'm a huge animal lover plus  English  is spoken by a lot of people so I'm fine with not knowing all foreign languages. That being said I can speak 5 different languages and that is more then enough for me. It's already hard tackling that much

I love learning languages and it is useful to know a lot. I can fluently speak seven and rudimentary knowledge in two others and it has been very useful for me. But then, after the first three I learnt - (the native languages of  English  and Tamil and my mother being Scottish, Gaelic was forced into me) but all the others, it took immense effort. So, if I can talk all other languages, I'd certainly choose that. Animals are smarter in understanding signs than humans :P

Why would I want ti talk with animals? This is not a movie even though I talk to them all they would do is respond to you by barking (dogs), mooing (cows)... and those cries are usually fully understandable with research and a lot easier to understand than all foreign languages. So I choose languages.

Animals. Plenty of translators exist out there, and though it would be a very useful skill, talking to animals would be a unique power, hence more useful/valuable.
