Would you rather speak all languages or be able to speak to all animals?

I’m going to point out the obvious errors before i answer the question i think you meant to ask. You’re welcome!
First, IF you could speak all languages, THEN you COULD speak with animals. You didn’t specify human language. Also ANYONE can speak TO all animals. You might have meant ‘speak with’. The ability to communicate is only as effective as your ability to use it effectively.
I’d rather speak with animals, i think. I prefer animals to people more often than not, but Eddie Murphy’s “Doctor Dolittle” taught me that such a gift might have unpleasant side effects. Ell oh ell!
If there were reasons to believe speaking a common tongue would make human interactions more productive for humanity as a whole, i might lean that way. Unfortunately, i don’t think our problem is the inability to communicate so much as we’re saying all the wrong things, in any language. Ell oh ell!

I would love to be able to speak to animals, I would love to know what's on their minds, and what they think of us. How they are acting around the house is often a reflection of how happy or sad a home is.
