Do cocky high school boys with big egos think super hot girls are out of their league?

Do most attractive/cocky/confident boys hit on the gorgeous girls at school Or are they scared of rejection like the other boys?

It seems to me they don't think any girl is out of their reach. I usually see them with really pretty girls, never with a "plain Jane". But what do you think?

-popular guys
-captains of sports teams
-jocks in general
-preppy guys
-guys who date cheerleaders
-the hot guy that lots of girls have a crush on
-attractive guys in general

I was as cocky as anyone when I was in high school. At the time I didn't hit on girls... too busy with school 6 days a week and getting my a** accepted into Princeton. I remember thinking in 9th-10th grade "as soon as my acne clears up I'm gonna go crazy with girls," my acne cleared up between 11th and 12th grade, but I discovered substances too (pot, and alcohol). If you had asked junior or senior year I probably would have told you I could get any girl I wanted... I might have been close to right too. Damn near the smartest kid in one of the best private high schools in the world... plus I was in excellent shape, clear skin, and, as always, I had my trusty blue eyes. Later got arrested for possession (cost me my acceptance at Princeton), went to Cornell instead. Long story short left Cornell because I went crazy and now I have bipolar and I'm a virgin at 31 years. But yeah I was cocky and I thought I could get any girl I wanted. I guess I'm still attractive or whatever, but I doubt that girls care about that after high school or MAYBE college.

They're so full of themselves they hit on anyone. Hell, i've seen some of them claiming girls should consider them LUCKY if he bothererd with them.

I was a cocky, muscular athlete, who was very popular all throughout school. I was big and had naturally developed muscle from the time I was like 14, to the point that even hot older girls wanted to be with me. Being physically blessed like that at a young age swells guys' confidence so that we think we can have any girl we want. The top 10% of guys in high school get 80% of girls, and I was definitely in that group. Girls feed into cocky guys egos, though, because the cockier and more confident we are, the more they're attracted to us. I've had insanely hot girls admit to me that they wondered if they were in my league.

They get the girl of there choice because women like winners. I was cocky myself and kicked butt and I always had hot girls checking me out and flirting with me. I was just to shy to talk to them a lot. I did my talking through sports

I'm not the kind of girl that chases guys like that. I honestly think they're annoying. At least you say you didn't talk to them much; that's not bad.
I just find cocky guys... COCKY.
