Why do White people hate spicy food?

Lol they can't seem to handle chilli compared with other races , why is this?

I mean that's a generalization... but I'm sure cultural difference and not being raised with spicy foods would have something to do with it. My family and I (are white) and LOVE Thai and Indian food. I handle spicy food pretty well and enjoy it (mild salsa is a joke ;] ), but it's my mom who eats up the spiciest food without blinking. Give her a tall glass of water and she's happy.

Cultural difference of course.
I tend to notice those who grew up with a certain ethnic background tend to eat more of those foods because that is their native dish.

Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule.
There are some whites who love spicy food.

Eating spicy food is a taste one must get accustomed to.

That's untrue... me and my family LOVE spicy food, my bro he buys totally hot chilli sauces and just puts it on his food lol the spiciest i will eat is hot chillies and jalapinos but non the less i love spicy food, it gives the food more flavour :P.

It's not really a thing in western culture, or at least it hasn't been until very recently. I wouldn't say white people hate spicy food, but i guess they can tolerate it less, since they haven't been exposed to it as much.

I personally dislike spicy food mainly because I'm not used to it and I don't want/need to get used to it.
Tried curry for the first time upon my arrival to the UK (student here) and it nearly blew my mind out, it was that damn hot and spicy.

I'd rather stick to well done bacon I'm used to.

Well, you see, different *ethnicities tend to cook different foods, as cuisine is a part of culture.

Indians, for example tend to use a lot of the spices that occur naturally in their environment in their food and are used to them, whereas someone from Canada wouldn't be.

Personally I love spicy food, but I haven't gotten to try seriously spicy food yet from other nations, but want to. (I am white)

I eat curry and spicy korean food all of the time.
Obviously though, you grew up on it and have become accustomed to it from birth. I'm sure your parents started you gradually on a smaller level of spiciness just like I did with my kids.

Hell, I love spicy things. I go to Thai restaurants and ask for the spiciest level (which is usually just called 'Thai') and that still isn't enough.

I few weeks ago I ordered a bottle of hot sauce made from naga jolokia peppers.

I can hands down handle the hottest of the hot. I have never found anything too hot up until this point and I've tried all the hottest peppers as well as eat them regularly. Oh I am white by the way.
