Does anybody else get super scared to take a shower when they're home alone?

I want to take a shower but I'm super scared. I just want to know if I'm the only person that gets scared of taking showers when they're home alone, or if I'm just a wimp.

I just took a shower and I didn't get killed by some crazy, knife-wielding maniac. I was still scared because I'm home alone though.

I was literally googling "i'm scared to take a shower when im home alone" and i found this one. So glad i join this site a couple of days ago so i can reply to this. I'm scared to shower when nobody is home, i'm fine if my family is home and asleep but when i'm home alone its a whole different story. I'm on vacation at my dad's right now its just me and him. My dad asked me if i wanted to go out to dinner when he gets home from work and he told me to be ready (which means taking a shower while he is at work) i know if i dont take a shower while he is at work he is going to be like why aren't you ready and im going to tell him i have bad aniexty of showering when people aren't home I don't know what he is going to say probably something mean but i don't care i'm waiting til he is home because im stubborn and scared.

yessssss i never take showers when i am home alone i get scared when there is someone i would die if i where alone i definitely feel you i am always terrified from being alone even though i never watch horror movies or anything (my heart is racing just by typing this lol)

I used to feel like some killer would come in the bathroom and kill me or like the movies when you see the shadow of the killer through the shower curtains 😳😂 but not anymore lol I like it now

Yea I get nervous lol. I always leave the bathroom door and shower curtain open and make my cat guard the hallway lmao so I can see everything because I be all paranoid swearing I heard a noise.

I get super nervous too! I usually just lock the bathroom door but I get super paranoid too. Like I'll swear I heard the front door open or something. It's ridiculous haha.

There might be a reason for your fear. You'll just have to really take a look at why you might be afraid. Is it just a one time thing? Or is it any time you're home alone?

Anytime I'm home alone. I'm not scared of being home alone. I'm just scared of showering when I'm home alone. It makes feel vulnerable.

That could very well be it right there. When you're naked, you're in a very vulnerable state. Having family in the house can make sure you have someone between you and any would-be intruders. Without that, I can understand why you might feel afraid. You need to ask yourself though - Is this fear taking away from the quality of your life? If so, it's worth trying to discover ways to move past it. If not and you're just wondering if you're weird, don't sweat it! We all have a thing. I have a fear of people being near my toes!

I'm actually going to take a shower right now. Wish me luck! Haha. It's quite an irrational fear, I suppose. I mean, my front door is locked, back door is locked, all of the Windows are locked, and I'll have the bathroom door locked. I have no reason to be scared. Except I'm actually getting nervous at this very moment about getting in the shower. Ugh :/

Yeah, I'm super paranoid and it increaes when I'm home alone. I pretty much keep a knife with me at all times. I
Especially hate when I need to wash my hair and the water drowns out all other sounds. Just something you need to conquer. Funny how all the guys pretty much said no, while all but one girls saud no.

I haven't watched that many horror movies. The last one I watched was Annabelle... I actually walked out of the theatre early and didn't quite finish it though.

I get so scared as well, I feel like that scene from phyco will play out🤣🤣 I always get so paranoid a d set up a mirror by the door so I can see the stairs. But I find it helpfull eather playing music or singing ( badly) as it helps distract me and stops my mind making up imaginary noises
