Why rich people like to be driven by chauffeurs? Do they ever go anywhere on foot or use public transports?

Never understood that. ... personally if i was rich i'd still go on foot and use public transports. 

But i've noticed most rich people are always sit on the back seat of their luxury cars, being driven by chauffeurs. Are they FORCED to do it, or they like it actually?

There are a lot of ifs and questions there.
How did you get rich in the first place? Where do you live? It also depends on where you're going, the traffic conditions, if you have work you can get done in the meantime, maybe finish getting ready. You don't need to worry about finding a parking spot, you don't need to worry about the weather, getting mob in the subway, being pressed like sushi between stinky sweaty people you don't know, you get to actually sit down.

It's a matter of commodity. Even uncle Scrooge doesn't ride the bus despite doing his morning walks in the park. Reading the newspaper for free. Time is money, you don't want to be subjected to the schedule of public transportation.

I have never hired one and have only twice in my life been in a car with a chauffeur in it through rich friends I had and my theory is that having people serve you gives you a sense of security and comfort. For example I have already decided that if I ever win the lottery that I won't spend the money on expensive vacations or physical pleasures - rather I will hire body guards to watch me round the clock so that I can have the sense of security, comfort and protection that a lot of young children have when they are around protective parents. Most people don't have that comfort and protection when they become adults but I want that so that is what I plan on doing if I win the lottery.

They might be very busy with work and it allows them to work while getting from one spot to another. They may not enjoy driving and they have the option to not drive so they choose a car service or a chauffeur. I don't think anyone is forced to have a driver, and yes some probably like it.

I have family who are very well off, but they never used a chauffeur. For instance, my grandma in the last few years hired a maid and a gardener mostly because she has limited mobility. When my grandparents were healthy, they were more of the do-it yourself kind of people. The point being that there could be a need for a chauffeur, maybe they have a health condition where it is dangerous to drive (seizures, bad eyesight, etc.), also many wealthy people are pretty busy answering calls and emails, so if they live in a Metropolis like Miami, NY, LA, they opt to have a chauffeur so they can handle those things on their hour long commute from their smart phone. Some might do it for stature as well.

My dad says because it's social stature and he gets a driver when he is going to meetings but he does drive aswell but I hate him when he views himself above others

I have a limo chauffeur. I don't use the limo all the time though, it's to much of a hassel. Plus the unwanted attention you tend to get. I would take the driver to certain important events for work, Charity events etc I think the last time I took the limo that was not important was with a friend. She wanted to go in the limo to our day spa resort so I didn't mind, I was cool with it.
No it's a choice, you can sit anywhere you want to sit.. I can fit 14 people.. Would you rather sit in a squishy passenger seat? Or a spacious back seat lol
I still drive my own car almost everyday, ride my motorbike everyday (it's summer here so it's nicer on the bike) it's only when I need the limo for important services.. And for a best best friend..

If I were rich I wouldn't let anyone know I was rich. In that way, you fit in like everyone else and don't get used. And if I was dying, I'd walk into to a Cancer Hospital and buy everyone of those Cancer kids anything they've ever wanted... then donate everything I had anonomously to Cancer and Orphans. There are two basic types of people who has a chauffer:
1. Very bussy business people who are working since they wake up until they are about to sleep
2. A Nouveau rich.

Of course there are many people who don't fit in that description, that's just what I know from an old boss I had and the people he related with, he would never let their sons get a "chauffer" just to go to the club.

Perhaps they like to get other things done like work. Many rich work because they like it. A lot of times they are going to the airport so they dont have to leave their car and then also drive home after a long flight and trip. Some also may be too old to drive or have bad eyes. Some just want to relax and have it as a luxury but they walk, drive as well when they want.

For me it seems rich people choose chauffeurs not because they have to, but because it gives them extra comfort, time and peace of mind in busy lives they can work, relax or avoid stress of driving and parking, and that convenience really matters for a lot of busy people. Being driven around is great! You can be drunk as a skunk, you can focus on phone calls or your Game Boy, or you can just relax and daydream.

Driving yourself or riding public transportation is stressful at busy times.

As someone who grew up not totally rich but definitely privileged, public transport is viewed as dirty and dangerous so if you have the money then you don't take it.

There are some rich people follow this way of life because they can afford it. Some of these chauffeurs are train body guards. The drivers allow them concentrate on other things in the commute.
